New acquisitions, new exhibition halls, new routes and new installations: the Irpino museum changes its skin and offers a reinterpretation of its heritage to stimulate knowledge and rediscovery of the territory.

On Tuesday 2 July, in the prestigious headquarters of the Bourbon Prison monumental complex, the museum officially opened its new sections to the public in the presence of the President of the Province Domenico Biancardi and the Councilors delegates to culture Rosanna Repole and Franco Di Cecilia.
The Irpinia section is the spearhead of the entire museographic project of the Bourbon Prison. A spectacular journey through the historical and evolutionary events of this middle land, where it has always mediated between sea and sea, between north and south, between east and west, between losers and winners, between heroes and merchants, between warriors and farmers.
