The Irpino Museum on the occasion of the Chinese New Year celebrations unveils its oriental treasures from the Salomone Collection
Ten days dedicated to China and oriental art to re-discover the materials of the prestigious Salomone Collection kept in the deposit section of the Irpino Museum.
A collection of objects of various kinds and origins donated to the museum in 1935 by Giuseppe Salomone, medical colonel of Marina, will be exhibited for the first time all together to coincide with the Chinese New Year! Vases, statuettes, trays, bowls and entire services for tea ceremonials, which depict suggestive landscapes and take up traditional scenes from the daily life of the Rising Sun and Imperial China. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in another culture and wish you a happy new year again!
