Presentation of the book “Too much night around me” by Carlos Solito

Here comes the second appointment of the Summer Meetings review dedicated to female writers national relief.
Thursday 4th August at 7.00 pm Carlos Solito presents his new novel “ Too much night around me ” published by Sperling & amp; Kupfer.
The novel is an ideal journey of two modern Dante and Virgil to discover some of the most fascinating places in Italy: the mountains and caves of Irpinia.
In the midst of his life’s journey, Dante, a 35-year-old illustrator who left the South to move to Milan, is faced with the worst nightmare a father can imagine living: the loss of his son in a tragic accident. Back in the places of his childhood, on the Picentini mountains in Irpinia, he meets Virgilio, a speleologist who lives in the woods and who will accompany him with his stories on an ideal journey into the most fascinating caves in Italy, in the depths of that loss that has irremediably scored.
Carlos Solito, writer, photographer, journalist and director, was born in Grottaglie, in the province of Taranto. He has traveled the world since he was very young and today he collaborates with numerous national magazines and newspapers creating travel reports. He directs commercials, music videos and short films. His photographs of him have been exhibited in various countries and he has published about twenty illustrated volumes for the most important Italian publishers.

The meeting will be moderated by the journalist Gianni Colucci.
