Presentation of the book Come Crisalide by Federico Iadarola and Mariarosaria Di Sisto

Palace of Culture

Thursday 10 November 2022 h.18.00

The Autumn Paths review continues, with exhibitions, theater, meetings, book presentations from the Irpino Museum and the Capone Library.
Thursday 10 November at 6 pm, at the Palazzo della Cultura, in corso Europa, there will be the presentation of the book Come Crisalide by Federico Iadarola and Mariarosaria Di Sisto, respectively photographer and writer.
Like Crisalide is a “mirror” catalog, alternating with photos and verses, an evocative journey in search of suspended time that two artisans of the image and the word give us.
The space that the photographer manages to grasp and gives us, punctuated by the writer’s prose, is a moment returned to our perception and sensitivity.
This book is also a tribute to medium format analogue photography, natural, without the manipulative temptations of digital.
In the preface, Francesco Bellofatto, professor at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples writes: “ It is not a book of photos and texts, there is no didactic logic where the image prevails over the word or the verb reduces the photograph to icon. There is much more.
They are not even pages where photography penetrates the writing, or envelops it, in a strenuous feeling of narrative survival. It is a volume of pure resistance of expression, in a world contaminated by too many words and too many images.
Federico and Mariarosaria feel its urgency and offer us a hermeneutic starting point, leaving us the free interpretation that extends from photos and text towards our very existence.
Together with the authors will be present Francesco Bellofatto, Ugo Morelli and Pasquale Palmieri.
During the event there will also be a photographic exhibition curated by Federico Iadarola, an exhibition that retraces some pages of the book in a tale of intense moments.
The exhibition will be open until December 3, 2022.
