On Friday, September 15th the Irpino Museum will host two special events.
The Archaeology Section of the Palace of Culture will house the opening, at 5.30 pm, of the photography exhibition Fattore C, l’impatto visivo del post covid by Nico Iannaccone. The exhibit focuses on the post-COVID changes and interaction between reality and artificial intelligence, chronicling experiences of resilience and adaptation and revealing the fundamental role of technology in our daily lives.
This exhibition is part of the broader photography exposition OttoperOtto. Eight photographers – Eight stories, coordinated by Antonio Bergamino and promoted by the Province of Avellino with the Technical-Scientific Coordination of the Irpino Museum and the “S. e G. Capone” Library.
At 7.30 pm on the same evening, the Bourbon Prison will host the concert Fiori Melodici, an excellent flute duo consisting of Ligurian musicians Matteo Cagno and Davide Calcagno, who will perform some of the most well-known musical pieces from the operatic repertoire. The concert is part of I Luoghi della Musica, the 31st International Chamber Music Festival organized by the “Arturo Toscanini” International Music Academy Association, and it will be in memory of Dr. Gerardo Piccolo, the founding member of the Musical Association.
On this occasion, the Bourbon Prison will remain open until 9:30 pm, offering the public the opportunity to visit the permanent sections of the museum and the exhibition Escape from Figure by Cristina Nasti and Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, and curated by Angelo Crespi in collaboration with the Ferrero Contemporary Art of Ivrea.
