The Irpino Museum doesn’t stop this summer either and offers new and fun activities for children and teenagers during the month of August!
From August 1st to August 25th, the Irpino Museum organizes summer camps during which it will be possible to participate in creative workshops, team games, quizzes, and guided tours to explore the heritage and the history of Irpinia.
Teens aged 12-16 will have the opportunity to use and learn about the numerous scientific instruments housed in the museum through creative and educational workshops dedicated to science. On the other hand, children aged 7-11 will have fun discovering the history and archaeology exhibits of our territory through games, quizzes, and workshops.

SCIENCE TUESDAYS
Science into Practice
Educational workshops with scientific instruments and everyday materials
Theoretical and practical activities to discover the laws and principles of physics in a fun way.
On Tuesdays at 10.30 am

SUMMER CREATIVE ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS
Creative workshops, games and quizzes on art, history and archaeology

On Tuesday > Searching for Lost Treasures
Games and quizzes to discover the beauties of the Archaeology section of the Irpino Museum

A gang of thieves has stolen some precious treasures that need to be found. Solving the riddles will require observation skills, memory, and teamwork! You will find all the clues to find the treasures in the museum rooms.
On Wednesdays > Gold as the Laurel
Creative writing workshop

During a walk in the former botanical garden of the museum, an ancient myth related to the plants still present in the garden will be narrated. Once back in the museum, the participants will create a storyboard to reconstruct the myth they heard using words, images, and laurel plants.
On Thursdays > The Clay Guardians of the Depot
Clay Manipulation Workshop
Bourbon Prison
After a guided tour of the Depot of the museum, that houses the Salomone Collection with objects from the Far East and the Far West, the participants will create a Cuchimilco with clay, a small human-shaped statuette typical of the pre-Columbian Chancay culture.
On Fridays > Portraits and clippings
Collage Workshop
Bourbon Prison
After a guided tour of the Art Gallery of the museum, the participants will make collages with fabrics, newspaper clippings, and scraps.
It is possible to attend only one week of the summer camps, and all activities are completely free of charge.
