The exhibition is promoted by the Province of Avellino in collaboration with the Irpino Museum and curated by Massimo Sgroi and the Kaos48 Cultural Association.
“Manifestando”. La mostra delle mostre could be described as the exhibition of exhibitions, because is part of the project of contemporary art and culture New York Naples one way coordinated by the Kaos48 Cultural Association.
The exhibition consists of about seventy “manifestos” and “magazines” celebrating artists, including Andy Warhol, Joseph Beuys, Jannis Kounellis, Robert Mapplethorpe, Keith Haring and Cy Twombly, who frequented Lucio Amelio’s art gallery in Piazza dei Martiri in Naples between the 1970s and 1990s.
The InTheArt experimental documentary produced by C4C will also be projected during the exhibition opening. It aims to investigate human reactions to the viewing of works of art from the 1970s to the present day, observing and capturing the emotions, facial movements, bodily reactions and the Weltanschauung of the audience.
“Manifestando” will be presented by Massimo Sgroi, art critic, writer and consultant to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caserta. The opening of the exhibition will be attended by Fabrizio Scomparin, creator of the exhibition and President of the Kaos48 Cultural Association, Stefano Nasti, Vice President of Kaos48, Paola Cimmino, the art historian Paola Apuzza, Rita Margiotta, Roberta Gargiulio, Maria Rosa Vitola and the President of C4C Andrea Valentino, maker of the experimental documentary InTheArt.
The exhibit will be on display from June 3rd to June 24th during museum opening hours, from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am – 1 pm and 4 pm – 7 pm.
