LA CONTEMPORANEITÀ TRA STORIA ED INNOVAZIONE. Edoardo Iaccheo
curated by Stefania Marotti

Vernissage on Saturday, May 6th at 5.30 pm

Edoardo Iaccheo is a painter, engraver, ceramist and set designer for some important plays at the Roman Theatre in Verona. A leading figure in the field of theatrical scenography, he worked as a props man in the Teatro Laboratorio directed by Ezio Maria Caserta and in 1974 he presented Le Maschere sul Savonarola in the Theatre Section at the Venice Biennale. Edoardo Iaccheo set up numerous solo exhibits in different international cities, such as Volos, Niebylec, Atene, Sofia, Seul, Skopje and he took part in the Peru Festival of World Art in 2018.

The renowned artist will present his exhibition La Contemporaneità tra Storia ed Innovazione at the Irpino Museum, in Avellino’s Bourbon Prison. Through the experimentation of new artistic languages, the image becomes the key to interpreting even imperceptible changes in the psyche and personal and social mutations. For many years, Edoardo Iaccheo was a teacher at the Academy – Arts High School in Venice, then at the Art Institute in Verona, Salerno, Eboli and Avellino, where he currently lives and works.
