October 11th – October 28th, 2023
The photography exposition OttoperOtto. Eight photographers – Eight stories continues on Wednesday, October 11th at 5 pm, with the opening of the new exhibition Paesaggi interiori by Federico Iadarola and Pasquale Palmieri.
The exhibit will be set up along the corridors of the Archaeology section of the Palace of Culture.
The exhibition explores how photography enables viewers to observe everyday places with a new perspective, as if considering the world anew each time. The artists have focused on studying how our brains perceive and interpret the world, seeing it as a significant representation of our individual realities. Additionally, they’ve examined how art and architecture influence and transform our relationships with space and time.
The investigation journey was carried out using medium format analogue cameras, searching for traces of memory in places and the faces of passersby. Contrasting emotions are experienced – joy from happy moments and sadness due to the disappearance of beloved faces. It becomes clear that memories fade, deteriorate, and drift away with the passage of time.
The photography exhibition will conclude on October 28th with the workshop ’Pietra, Pelle e Pellicola at the Archaeology section of the Palace of Culture. The workshop will run from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm. It will explore the reinterpretation of the Irpino Museum’s interior spaces through the harmony between the human body, the surroundings, and the displayed artefacts. Participants are free to explore individually or in groups, capturing what they wish to focus on using their own camera, whether digital or analogue.
