Spigoli sghembi, forse in salsa teatrale

The photography exposition OttoperOtto. Eight photographers – Eight stories
continues on Wednesday, August 9th at 6 pm, with the opening of the new exhibition
Spigoli sghembi… forse in salsa teatrale by Antonio Bergamino. The exhibit will be
set up along the corridors of the Archaeology Section of the Palace of Culture.
Through his photography exhibition, the artist describes and transforms the well-known
suburb of Scampia. The displayed photographs show strong contrasts of light and
shadows. The use of black and white colours, in a way that doesn’t distract the viewer,
creates a defragmentation of the buildings that resembles a pleasant mosaic.
Antonio Bergamino made photo features in various countries worldwide to provide
documentary evidence of social issues, folklore and forgotten crafts. His latest works
include Irpinia sospesa, Ad Occidente da me, and Moodlight.
Also, on Friday, August 11th at 6 pm, Antonio Bergamino will present the book
Anthropica by Domenico d’Alelio and Emanuela Dattolo.

On Tuesday, August 29th, Antonio Bergamino will present his book Moodlight (AreaBlu
editions – 2021). The book features a series of photographic portraits taken of various
musicians during their concerts, where the author worked as a stage photographer. The
photographs show a “dialogue” between music and light where the latter is often sharp to
the point of creating strong contrasts between white and black.

The event is coordinated by Antonio Bergamino and promoted by the Province of Avellino
with the Technical-Scientific Coordination of the Irpino Museum and the “S. e G. Capone”
Library.
