As it does every year, the Museo Irpino is offering a variety of Christmas activities suitable for all ages, including creative workshops, team games, theatre performances, and thematic guided tours to liven up the Christmas season and the Epiphany.
All the events are promoted by the Province of Avellino and created in collaboration with local artists and associations.

Thematic Guided Tour of the Nativity Scenes
A uniquely special guided tour among the Museum’s approximately 400 nativity scenes, inviting you to rediscover the history of nativity scene art and learn the stories of its most important characters together.

YEAR-END… NOTES (A year in review)
Creative Collage Activity
Drawing inspiration from the solo exhibition “Biographical Notes” by Elisabetta Panico/Beibi Laplà, currently on display at the Palazzo della Cultura, the Museo Irpino offers a creative activity focused on analogue collage and visual poetry. Specifically designed for adults, this activity will be conducted by the artist herself.

“CHRISTMAS HEIST” AT THE MUSEUM!
Team Game
An unusual heist is set to take place in the rooms of the Museo Irpino this Christmas! Young visitors, divided into teams, will pull off three heists to steal three precious objects from the museum’s collections. For this occasion, a top-quality advisor will guide their action plans and strategies: DIABOLIK, the king of crime and the iconic black character from Italian comics.

“WRITTEN LAND” – WOODCRAFT WORKSHOP
Creative Sculpture Workshop by Luigi Di Guglielmo
The exhibition “Terra Scritta” (Written Land) by local artist Luigi Di Guglielmo, currently on display in the “Ex Officine” exhibition room of the Carcere Borbonico, will inspire a workshop focusing on the “manipulation” of wood, a material both ancient and contemporary, possessing strong expressive qualities. Guided by the skilled wood artist Di Guglielmo, young visitors will have the opportunity to create their own works of wooden art.

NEW YEAR… NOTES

After the first activity “YEAR-END… NOTES”, the Museo Irpino is delighted to present a new creative activity focusing on analogue collage and visual poetry. THE MUSEUM… OF THE BEFANA
Theatre performance by “Teatro d’Europa”
The Befana takes centre stage in the rooms of the Museo Irpino. This theatre performance, by actors from the theatre workshop currently taking place at the museum, explores the Befana in various cultural contexts, including pagan, Celtic, and Christian traditions. It’s an original way to share the story of the Befana with both children and adults.
