LIBRARY AND MUSEUM SUMMER EDITION
Readings, workshops, events and tours
5 July – 3 September 2022
PROVINCIAL LIBRARY “S. E G. CAPONE”
IRPINO MUSEUM
Palace of Culture
Bourbon Prison Monumental Complex

Library and Museum Summer edition is the rich program of initiatives of the Province of Avellino, which for the first time wanted to combine activities and events of the Irpino Museum and the Provincial Library “S. and G. Scipione “to create a single cultural offer designed for all tastes and all ages, from the youngest to the oldest!
Each day of the week will be dedicated to one or more activities: from experimental science to archaeological excavation, from cinema to reading, from theater to literature passing through the game of chess. Special guided tours will also be organized to discover the Museum’s collections and the consultation room of the Children’s Library will be open to the public for group or table games tournaments.
Events organized in collaboration with not only local but also national authors and artists, and with local associations such as Scienza Viva, the chess clubs of Montella and Avellino and the Compagnia dei Tragicamente comici with Maurizio Merolla, will further enrich this calendar.

A wide cultural offer, synthesis of a synergistic work of the Provincial Authority, led by President Rizieri Buonopane, and the Technical-Scientific Coordination of the Museum Irpino and the S. and G. Capone Provincial Library, to enhance the historical-architectural heritage of the Province itself.

All activities will take place in the two historic locations of the Palace of Culture and the Bourbon Prison, ideally united in a single large cultural center where you can spend the Summer!
